Why we picked it
This one earns its spot on the water itself. Coral Beach sits on the north-facing side of Punta Cancún, looking across Bahía de Mujeres toward Isla Mujeres — which means the water in front of it is calm and genuinely swimmable, not the churning surf you get on the south-facing stretch. It's also the side of the peninsula that dodges the worst of the sargassum. If your trip lands in seaweed season and the beach is the whole point, this is one of the safer bets in Cancún.
Behind the sand is a 220-yard free-form heated pool that steps down through connected levels and wanders under stone bridges, with three swim-up bars along the way and a separate kids' pool with a waterslide. It's an all-suite property — 602 of them, every one with an ocean view — which is why it reads more like a grand classic hotel than a modern all-inclusive.
The other headline is the Gem Spa: Forbes Four-Star, 26 treatment rooms, and a 10-step hydrotherapy ritual that's included rather than upsold. That plus a AAA Five Diamond French restaurant is what "elegance-forward" actually means here.

Good to know
Who it's for
✓ Stay here if…
- Calm, swimmable water matters more to you than a big pool complex — this is the best-protected beach on the strip.
- You're traveling in sargassum season and want the stretch least likely to be affected.
- You want a suite with an ocean view guaranteed, not assigned by luck.
- You'd like to walk out to the Hotel Zone's restaurants, shops and nightlife instead of taxiing everywhere.
- A proper spa day is part of the trip — the hydrotherapy circuit is included.
✕ Skip it if…
- You want a waterpark or a swim-up suite — try Moon Palace The Grand for both.
- You want adults-only quiet. Kids are welcome and there's a big kids' club; the adults-only beach club is tied to the top Infinite Luxury suite tiers.
- Surcharge restaurants would bother you — two of the ten, including Le Basilic, cost extra on top of all-inclusive.
- You want contemporary design. The look is classic and traditional, not the crisp-white minimalism of the newer resorts.
